Roethlisberger will play vs. Ravens

| Monday 6 December 2010

Despite reports that he has a broken foot, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is active and will play tonight against the Ravens.
Boy, I didn't see that one coming.
Roethlisberger's status for this crucial game between AFC North foes was never really in doubt, even as reports of his foot injury escalated and the injury was called a break and not a sprain.
What is in question is how healthy Roethlisberger truly is, and how limited he'll be tonight.
Will he have the same mobility and be able to shrug off tacklers as well as he does when 100 percent healthy? Or will the injury - whatever it is - make Big Ben more of a stationary target for the Ravens to attack?
Roethlisberger just came onto the field to a chorus of boos from Ravens fans. He has what looks like a roll and a half of tape wrapped around the injured right foot.
Here are the Steelers' inactives: QB Charlie Batch (3rd QB), RB Jonathan Dwyer, CB Crezdon Butler, T Chris Scott, T Tony Hills, DT Steve McLendon, TE Matt Spaeth and DE Aaron Smith.
